Dear Mr Lineker
When Lewis Hamilton was refused entry to the Royal Box at
Wimbledon for flouting the All England Club’s well known dress code, you described the decision as “England at its pompous worst.”
When the Royal & Ancient Golf Club decided not to
appoint you to host the Open, you described them as “pompous.”
And yet you have seen fit to write a letter to the Prime
Minister in support of the organisation that pays you £2million a year just for watching
a few games of football on a Saturday night.
You, Sir, are a tedious bore and a sanctimonious hypocrite.
