Where have all the Bloggers gone?

First, Mrs Angry announces she is taking a break from blogging. Then Rog T writes that he, too, is pressing the pause button (on politics at least).

As the world’s greatest expert on retiring from Blogging, Don’t Call Me Dave predicts that cyberspace will not be silent for too long.

They may be working out how the Labour Party can retake Scotland.

So they may be gone some time.

But there's always Mr Mustard and Mr Reasonable, isn't there?

DCMD believes in independence for Scotland with full tax and spend powers. Within a few years, the SNP will bankrupt the country, just as Pa Broon did, and voters will flock back to the Conservatives to save them. Simples.

Pa Broon did stupidly run a modest deficit in the boom, but it made no significant difference during the world financial services crash, as you presumably know full well.

Countries like Spain were running a surplus at the time, and much good it did them.

UK debt is mostly long-term, and to British institutions, so the interest payments are recycled into our economy.

So we did not max-out on our nation's credit card, and we were nothing like Greece.

George Osborne knew that in 2010, and in 2012 he ended strict austerity, since the economy was tanking.

But we took decades to pay off the second world war, and that did no harm. Doing the same for a once-in-a-lifetime crisis would have been just as appropriate, although another such crisis is hardly ruled out.

In fact Mrs Angry and Mr Tichborne have run away to the Isle of Skye, where they are running a subpost office and tea room, and enjoying the absence of English Tory government.

Statler and I are still here.

We're not tremendously shocked that the newcomer panjandrum bloggers have fled the country.

Good bloody riddance we say!
