I have not been following any issues in Barnet for the last few weeks so do not know the details of the incident to which you refer. However, based on previous knowledge of the workings of Barnet Council, if you expect a senior officer or councillor to accept responsibility for their actions, you will be bitterly disappointed. The rumor says that he's well on his way to fulfill this dream, as - immediately after sending council staff deceiving and intimidating letters slandering their union (two in one day! one of them including an embarrassing tactical mistake!) and covering the North London Business Park buildings' walls with dozens of A3 framed posters with the same deceitful text, he left for a holiday.

Some say he may be on a 'gardening holiday', following in the footsteps of his Suffolk colleague, ex-chief executive Andrea Hill...

And it is not an insensible thing to do too when you become so hysterical...
